Puerto Rico’s Las Cavernas de Camuy

This massive network of subterranean caverns make up a 268-acre park filled with beautiful limestone rock formations and other natural wonders. The Taino Indians: The Original Puerto Ricans

When Christopher Columbus landed in what is now called Puerto Rico on November 19, 1493 he was surprised to find that the island he named San Juan Bautista was already inhabited by a Native American tribe called the Taino. It’s estimated that as many as 50,000 Taino lived on Puerto Rico at the time of Columbus’ arrival. They seemed to have led an idyllic existence, hunting and fishing from dugout canoes and growing crops of cassava, sweet potato, and garlic among others.

Reggaetoneros – Wisin and Yadel

Wisin and Yandel, also known as Juan Luis Morera and Llandel Veguilla, came together in 1998 as young seventeen and eighteen years olds, that had only a dream. Living in Cayey, in Puerto Rico, their paths crossed at a reggaeton party. At the time of their meeting, Wisin wanted to be a rap artist and Yandel, a barber at the time, wrote songs. With a songwriter and singer combination, the two young boys set out to achieve their ambitions. It had never occurred to them that they would receive the fame and support that they have today.
