Isla Ratones (Mice Island), near the town of Cabo Rojo in Southern Puerto Rico, is set to open an exciting Underwater Interpretative Pathway. The community of Isla Ratones, together with a local marine biologist and environmentalist organization, Caborrojeños Pro Salud y Ambiente, is developing an innovative educational adventure that will provide a guided, controlled snorkeling experience for both adults and children.
In the Western Coast Valley of Puerto Rico, near Boqueron, lies the city of Cabo Rojo and its surrounding municipalities. It is a destination in Puerto Rico that is known for its magnificent natural splendor, and for having the most beautiful sunsets on the island. It is a destination that is famous for the Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge, where hundreds of migratory birds and some of the sixteen endemic bird species of Puerto Rico can be found. Lately, more visitors are starting to explore the breathtaking Joyuda beach and the Joyuda Lagoon.
Being an island surrounded by some of the world's warmest, cleanest waters, Puerto Rico can be expected to have some beautiful tropical beaches. That it does, in abundance!
