My father was born in Puerto Rico and he live in Fajardo. He moved to N.Y. in the later 40's and married my mom. I have to the Naval base ther in 1974 when served in the navy. But I think it's time to go there and visit my dad's birth place. If anyone reads this maybe you may know Catalino Freita.

I was born in P.R. and came to the U.S. at the age of 3. I have been to P.R. faithfully 3 times a year and love the island more and more. The problem is that every time I return I come back with my heart broken. God willing this year I will return for good.!

I was born in hartford ct but all my family was practically born in Puerto Rico..in gurabo to be exact,,but my husband and i own a house in Fajardo,,because thats his home town,,he was born there and he grew up there..we go every year and we stay in the conquistador for a couple of days,,and then of to our house which is about 15 minutes from the conquistador...i love fajardo is beautiful...

I also grew up in Fajardo. I loved going to the Comquistador hotel's restaurant with my parents. My father was a doctor in the hospital there and we lived close to the hospital. I haven't been in Fajardo in over 10 years. I am also a Puerto Rican living in Texas!

I grow up in Fajardo, beautiful place. I mean the whole Island is beautiful. You will be very close "Las Croabas", from there you can take a small boat and visit the other two small Island (Viequez and Culebras) whhich are part of Puerto Rico. Also in Fajardo is the famous beach " Seven Seas" Also you can go to "Luquillo" which is about 20 to 30 minutes from Fajardo. There are lots of Kiosk by the HWY and also the "Luquillo beach" another beautiful place. Hope that helped. Enjoy the stay! It will be an unforgettable experience. Have fun and be safe! I love Puerto Rico. I vacationed there last year and want to return. i loved snorkeling and Luquillo beach was awesome! My friend lives in Fajardo and loves it there.
