The historic neighborhood of Old San Juan comes alive in January each year, when the street of San Sebastian is turned into a vibrant venue for a carnival. During the day, colorfully dressed locals parade in the streets wearing traditional Puerto Rican masks where the design is only limited by the imagination.
Description:
Nightfall sees young and old alike partying the hours away dancing to salsa, merengue and traditional Puerto Rican music. Fairground rides, food stalls and live music complete the festival atmosphere. The San Sebastian Street Festival is set to take place on 16-19 January 2010.

Why don't you have a monthly calenday with all the goings on in Old San Juan? There are activities put on by the Tourism Dept, the Institute of Culture, the Municipality, National Parks, Religious Organizations, etc...and no one has a schedule. Both turists and residents stumble across these wonderful events by chance or hear about them after the fact.

Hello! I'm planning to go to P.R. sometime in June 2nd or 3rd week. Is there any festivals around that time. I know that The Festival del Guineo is in June what else is there or another city like San Sebastian!! thank you so much, Iris
