I went to see them play in the world championship qualifiers a couple of months ago and I saw this in person. He disappointed me. The team was disappointing overall but he especially. He had a couple of good games statistically, that is when he stayed out of foul trouble, but for the most part he didn't always give his best effort. There were times he appeared downright lazy. Against certain teams, the team actually played better when he was on the bench.
I understand he had an attitude with the coach too. He is going to need a serious attitude adjustment if he is going to live up to his potential. He is also going to have to do a lot of work on his footwork to make up for the fact that he's slow in his lateral movement. If he does, then he can be a serviceable NBA player.

Everything you said about Ramos is the total opposite
He has a bad attiude
He was drafted for his mobility and quickness look
Strengths: Ramos has become a true prospect. His improvement from 2003 to 2004 has simply been amazing. Has a nice post up game showing a decent arsenal that includes a jump hook and a step away shot. He can also hit the outside shots and more importantly, Ramos looks to be more comfortable both on and off the court. He's showing leadership skills with his Pro Team (Criollos de Caguas) in the Puerto Rican Summer League. (considered the best league in Latin America) Ramos is also a good passer and is able to find the open man when receiving a double team. Considering that he is only 18, his body is filling out and he will eventually add at least 25 more pounds.
Ramos is an athletic center for his height and is able to run up and down the court without any problem. Stamina is excellent. Has very good potential.
The man is 7"3 and 300 lbs, and he moves like a cat.
Other observations from Day One:
# 7-3 Peter Ramos does carioca drills with the fluidity of a man a foot shorter.
Go google carioca if you know what it means.

Ramos is a prospect, and will be a productive player in the future when he learns how to play defense.
Right now, Ramos is a complete offensive player, he has al the tools and talent.
