This is a valuable post, Suki, so to ensure that it doesn't get lost I am making it a 'sticky'.

We all worry about climate change in the real world but we're going to have a climate change in here that most people should welcome.

Abuse is out. Abusers are out.

3 simple things to remember:

*Treat each other with respect

*Treat each other with respect

and

*Treat each other with respect

This is a forum we want as a place where young and old, men and women, Puerto Ricans as well as visitors from other parts of the world can trade thoughts, share information, learn things, laugh about things and want to come back again often and be a part of a mutually respectful online community.

It isn't a place to vent personality disorders and abuse others - any of that is a passport to a ban. We can all slip occasionally but it doesn't take a genius to work out who is treating what should be a safe and respectful environment as a war zone and who isn't.

Some folks here might have a history of antagonism with others. It's time for an amnesty in that regard. Forget all about old quarrels and bring your freshest thoughts to share. There's a way of presenting your views that doesn't need any aggression or unpleasantness, and everyone is capable of that. It would be a dull world if we all thought the same about everything and we can all learn from one another.

Disagreements are fine, differences of opinion are fine and sticking to your own beliefs no matter what is said to you is fine too. It might not always be wise, but it's not a crime. And sometimes, of course, it will be the right thing to do.

So there's no need for any bullying or abuse from anyone. If it does arise it will be quickly dealt with. Suki has given you some very good advice and if there are any other problems that crop up we'll take them as they come.

Make yourselves at home and relax and enjoy yourselves.
