First, you are all over the damn place. LOL!

I for one will never argue against many of the points in your argument, they have nothing to do with capitalism, more like human nature, which is why the socialist system never works.

If socialism was the great equalizer, what happened in the USSR? Why did China not dismantle Hong Kong?

Many of the points you make I agree with, the ignorance of people, both in the US and here. I especially agree that the US government's debt to foreign nations is extremely bad. A great book on the issue is Empire of Debt. The US can't continue to sustain that level of debt, and the Federal Reserve should have never even been put in place. It has created an artificial economy. Artificial economies don't allow the free markets to correct themselves in small doses. Which is why when the big correction hits, it will be felt around the world. In the 30s it was felt in the US only because we didn't have a global economy, like we do now.

Free market capitalism is the way to go and the US had it right in the beginning. If the gold standard would have been left in place, the government would not be in the mess it is in.

Free market economies allow for anyone who can dream to get ahead in life. I really have no pity for those who complain all day and do nothing. Socialism would never have gotten us the technology that we live with today.

And yes, we have the resources to do something about our health care, but not in the way many think. The government in charge of health care? LOL!

This is a serious question, if you like socialism so much, why not go to Cuba or Russia? I'm sure they will take you.

The thing is that in many of your arguments you rail against capitalism for problems that the government create. Government can help and should, rules need to be put in place and followed, such as in all areas of life in general. Without them there is chaos.

For example, and this is just one. Credit Card debt is a big problem, not just because credit card companies have given away too much credit, but because they then turn around and create reasons to jack up the interest rates on those cards. This creates a problem for the borrower when that person is trying to get out of that debt, how can he/she do that? They can't.

The US government in the 60s and 70s had regulations in place that hurt the little guy from getting a credit card, so in the 80s they did away with them. A bad move, because what they really needed was to keep those that kept the industry form abusing the consumer in place. Now they are needed more than ever but congress has been dragging its feet for decades.

There has been a bill floating around for years to deal with this, why hasn't your representative in congress done anything for you? The solution is that if voters took the time to be aware of what their representative votes for, and not vote for, while in congress the US would not be in the mess that it is in.

Any representative who has not addressed an issue such as the credit card problem should be voted out when their time is up. And tell them why you voted their asses out. But instead we ***** and moan, like always. We do nothing, and here in lies the problem.

The power of the voter in cases like this is so crucial. We have the power, but we don't use it. Don't blame capitalism for that.
