Do you know Joshue, that I am reading Carl Sagan and it is interesting that you said that how people handle disagreements is how one knows if they will cope with things well or not. For Carl Sagan says and I paraphrase, "If you disagree let him live. For in all the billions of galaxies and in all the universe you shall not find another like him." People are precious. To kill because one values property, profit, utopias and inhumane ideologies more than life itself is the definition of lack of mental health. But human beings are not mentally healthy. It is true people batter this planet and all the life forms on it and each other as if they have somewhere else to go. The rapture is not an exit strategy. Neither is killing the planet for short term gain and exploitation.
If you don't respect nature and your own species of life, it is doubtful you will respect anything in this world. Human beings unless they mature and become reason based when dealing with each other and the environment are gonna self-destruct. Good thread Joshue.
