Hey "Papote":
Lets say the next Puerto Rican Referendum was only on Statehood and Independence, and Statehood won by 80% of the votes [independentista leaders do admit that the "populares" are more pro-USA than pro-independence, you know]. If Puerto Rico became a State with that ABSOLUTE Majority of the Votes, then you independentistas would be forced to begin an INDEPENDENCE WAR, no? And this is why you tell us that we should avoid political violence by giving in to the wishes of the independentistas.
Now, let me see, we should avoid VIOLENCE

by giving in to the wishes of the ABSOLUTE minority

. What would you call this "papo"? Democracy

? Friendly persuasion

?
Are you sure that you support independence by personal choice, or do you do it out of FEAR for VIOLENCE? If FEAR inspires you, then what else are you willing to do in order to avoid VIOLENCE

?
Tell me how this is different from paying CASH to the neighborhood bully [el "guapo" del barrio] for not breaking your legs

.
