Can anyone explain why the Puerto Rican accent differs so much from the Spaniard accent?
I understand that most of the Spaniards who came to "San Juan Bautista" in the 1500s were either Castilians or Andalusians while a ot of the Spaniards who settled int Puerto Rico in the 1800s were either Gallicians or Catalans.
But the Puerto Rican accent is quite different from the accent of the people of Spain. What's your take?

I can't seem to put it Spanish letters & accents & grammatical marks.
