When I was a kid I saw Moby Dick with Gregory Peck and Richard Basehart and it's something Spielberg probably payed attention when he did JAWS cos the "talking" previous to the actual photograph of the animal (white whate or shark)created the spectation.
I enjoyed very much WEST WORLD with bald Russian actor Yul Brynner (pharaoh Ramses in 10 Commandments)as a cowboy robot (wearing his official western dress like in The Magnificent 7). It's was a bit like Terminator but decades before. TERMINATOR 2 was better than the first one. The third one sucks!
Second STAR WARS was awsome. The new trilogy has awful acting performance.
One of my favorite Western movies is Clint Eastwood's PALE HORSE based upon SHANE with Alan Ladd. Yet, Clint Eastwood is larger than life and didn't talk too much and the landscape went along perfectly with snowy mountains riding a gray horse. He's about to bring revenge and justice a bit like his previous western HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER.
