So glad to see everyone back here. I wanted to talk a little about my trip to Puerto Rico. It was a three month vacation or rebirth as I call it. It was so refreshing and relaxing. At first, I was a little overwhemed....I was taking this trip alone and actually spending time, totally alone in different parts of the island. Mine you....if I was ever in need, I have plenty of family all over the island that would have come to my aid but thank God it wan't necessary. I started my trip in the airport in San Juan, I rented a car and the man asked me, "do you need directions to where you are headed
"....I guess I must have looked perplexed because he said, "have you ever driven in Puerto Rico".

I said, "Well, to tell you the truth... I never needed to, my husband did all the driving when we took vacations here", then he smiled and said, "well senorita....you are in for the experience of your life", I smiled and said, "sir, I lived in New York and drove there", and he said, "well, maybe your experience won't be as exciting". lol From there he continued and started giving me directions to my destination....first, as he called it, "let me give you Puerto Rican directions first and then I will give you American directions". lol Well, the Puerto Rican directions were move entertaining, so I followed those, but once in a while I would glance at my American directions and between the two, I didn't get lost. My first destination was the playa de Aquadilla. I stayed in a house on the beach, quiet...at night, people would bring their instruments and play music and dance on the beach. The first days were hard on me, I couldn't get myself to socialize as much, but as time went on, I grew a little more confident, and ventured more and furthur away. All the things people cautioned me about the driving etc, never affected me, I had no problems, maybe because I had driven in big cities like New York, I knew how to be cautious and how to not take chances. I was kind of used to the crazy driving and all the traffic. I had no problem with the people either. They were all very friendly, many would come by and speak to me...always wanting to know where I was from and what town I was originally from.. The atmosphere was breathtaking. I could lay on the beach and just watch the birds flying and look at the deep blue Sea. Oh it was so immense, The waves were a little more than I can handle, so I didn't venture far. I am not a swimmer therefore to risk myself in that type of water condition, would be senseless. I sipped my pina colada...and ate my alcapurrias....I think I ate three in one sitting.

I felt like a little pig after that but who cares, I didn't do this everyday, well not everyday I was there.
Next time I visit...I will continue with my next destination.
Love to all of you.
