I have a friend who goes to UPR-Rio Piedras and I indeed heard about this strike. I thought it was a joke. We ought to do that here, because tuition is going up every semester it seems. LOL. I was thinking about transferring to UPR to finish my last two years, and since I am fluent en espanol (yes, 99% of the classes are in spanish) I could do it... but not if the tuition costs keep catching up to what they are here -- with less means to make the money to pay for it alla en PR! Plus, unless you sit out a year and gain residency, you'd have to pay the higher rate. Que ridiculo!
