As you use the mouse with time dust and microscopic particles will accumulate on the inside of the mouse compartment. This happense to PS2 mouse and Tracl-Ball mouse. When the mouse accumulate dust and or particles on the inside you'll notice that the mouse pointer starts moving around the screen at much slower pase plus it'l also jump around and also stall on their tracks.Making it hard for the user to scroll and click on things with ease.Cleaning the mouse is a very simple process and one that takes 2 to 5 minutes the most.Do have on hand the following for the cleaning process.(1) A clean lint-free rag,(2)some cutips or swaps,(3)A can of compressed air,and (4)Manufacturer recommended alcohol. If you don't have on hand alcohol and or compresse air can,its OK! Simply use the lint free rag.Srat by turning the computer off and unplug the mouse.Turn the mouse over and turn the retaining ring to the direction the arrows are pointing to...OPEN.Remove the mouse and make sure it land on your hand. With the lint free rag,rub the mouse ball. Now with the cutips and or swaps clean the rollers on the inside on the mouse compartment. With the can of compressed air simply clean the internal by applying air. Also clean the exterior of the mouse compartment with plain water.Once you've done that now let's put back together the mouse.Simply replace the ball by putting it inside its compartment.Replace the retaining ring and...your finished! Wasn't that simple? Notice now when you plug back the mouse card, turn on the computer how the mouse pointer runs. This mousse cleaning process should be done at least ones every 2 to 3 month.Look for more computer maintenance Information on this same forum by me...netlee.And as aways, for those needing technical help with any maintenance and or upgrading information please feel free to contact me.My e-mail address is: lee9000@optonline.net.
