PC owners LOVE to install and uninstall programs and that is of cause...normal! But doing so will have files flying all over the Hard Drive which by the way makes the Hard Drive WORK harder and slower. I try not being technical so that every body can understand. People who log on to the Internet and those who do a lot of writing and or publishing and download programs, clipart and music should perform Maintenance at least ones every two weeks. The very first thing I tell and teach all my clients is how to do Maintenance! The steps are very simple yet extremely beneficial for you pocket and the well being of your system. One must FIRST perform SCANDISK. Scandisk what it does is gather ALL the files and alines them all while at the same time fixing any and all entries to the FAT (File Allocation Table). When you install a program, all the files being inputted will not be alined. Meaning that files are scattered all over the Hard Drive. Likewise goes fore when you Delete a program. A lot of space on the Hard Drive becomes wasted and un-used. Perform SCANDISK and than DEFRAG so as to keep the system running smooth. Information pertaining to this issue is written here else where. Do read it and follow the instructions.
