Hey there...I hope you are feeling better. I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. The only way I can really relate to your story is through my cousin. She is in love with a guy who lives far from her. They dated for a year before he had to go. They have been happily dating for three years now. It has not been easy. Many nights I've ended up eating chocolate with her because they've had a fight. Still true love can walk through fire. They see each other as often as they can; and they are very much in love. The fact that you are not together will take a turn on your relationship. It can make it stronger or it can destroy it. The key is time and honesty. Long distance relationships are not for everybody because they are hard. Give yourself time and let your heart trully know what you are feeling. Remeber that right now you are also sad because you said "goodbye" to someone you love. Don't let these feelings get confused and keep you down. Go out with your friends and enjoy your life; if things don't work out you'll regreat the time lost.
PS.. I don't know who wrote this but it is the best description of love I heard so far: "Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear..."

I would like to thank you for giving the good advice. I really do appreciate it. I go out with my best friend, Nicole, a lot. We spend time together so I can get my mind off of things. But it seems that I can't get my mind off my Papi. He really means a lot to me and I don't want to lose him. We talk and shed tears over the phone, but at the end of our conversation it always ends up with a joke or two. Like you said being with friends really helps a lot. She has been there for me through all my tears and my bickering and I'm happy to have a friend like that. Oh yeah, is your cousin and her boyfriend still away from each other? Well if they are away I hope that they be just as happy as they were when they were with each other. Well thanks again. I hope I can talk to you later and be email buddies.

They plan on moving in together, but only after they finish college. I don't think you will stop thinking about your love for the next couple of months. Until you get used to missing him. Great!! I'm happy for you both. Is he back for good or just visiting? Anyway, enjoy your time together. Ironic,, my cousin's boyfriend decided to move back here for a while. They are going to go to college together. Not a simple decision by the way.. They broke up like a week ago. Big fight! But they ended up crying and back together. All I can say is that people change..Is only when you change together that love can grow with you. Then again who knows about love. It is such a crazy thing..but so nice to be in. right? Congrat's!!
