Well his whole family told him I would leave him b/c nobody not going to put up with that abuse. Well now I have a fiance. My ex lives in Ohio. But he won't let me live my live he been harassing me on the computer. Im expecting a baby soon w/ my fiance. My ex tells me he loves me. Til this day I tell him Im not in love with him leave me alone. He harasses me on the computer & AIM me all the time. He won't get it through his head I have found someone else & Im happy with my fiance. I tell him if he love me so much than why he done all the things he done to me like beat me up & hurt me. I got pregnant by him also but I lost the baby b/c of the abuse. Im trying to tell him to leave me alone but he won't leave me & my fiance alone. The bad point is we live in texas & he still harasses us all the way from Ohio.

What you need to do is get him off your buddy list on AIM and change your email address. Don't give him your address in Texas and don't let him know where your located in Texas. That way he can really get over you by not hearing from you.

Angry Look into computer harassment laws

Spanishlove,
You have been seperated for only one year?! Your ex is not in love with you but can't deal with the reality of being single and the rejection that comes with dating other people. He just wants a security blanket and is comfortable with your relationship. Don't believe his lies, especially since he was abusive to you. If he really loved you, then he would have acknowledged his abusive behavior and attended counseling. If he didn't do this, then he doesn't love you or himself.

Second, take PRtaina's advice. You can also block users using AIM. Select the People menu and then select the Block Buddy submenu. Type in the userid of your ex and he won't be able to send you an Instant messages. Also, depending upon your ISP (internet service provider - AOL, Compuserve, Prodigy, etc.) or his ISP, you can forward any harassing messages to the ISP and that can revoke his subscription or alert local police. You can also block e-mail from a particular person depending on the ISP. Some states like where I live (AZ) have local laws on computer harassment which is a misdemeanor. It doesn't matter that your ex is in Ohio, he might be violating Texas law or Ohio law. Check out both state laws and file a complaint if necessary. Check out your local attorney general's office to see if they have any policies on cyber-harassment. They may want to prosecute the case or can contact an attorney general (AG) in Ohio to prosecute the case. The AG may have other resources available to you.

You do NOT have to take this abuse, especially since you already lost a child and are currently pregnant. Don't be afraid to stand up for your rights.

Nachos (<--- attorney and former asst AG).
