Nicolei,
You do have an interesting topic and possibly a difficult one. Try "WWW.AFRICANA.COM". When it comes up scroll down until you get to "AFRICANA LINKS" and then click on "FOOD". This should at least get you started. If you can afford it, purchase Microsoft Encarta Africana CD-ROM. This software provides a lot of data about everywhere in the western hemisphere Africans have been, including Puerto Rico. You will be able to find data about religion and food on this CD-ROM. (It also has over 500 related websites.) You may also want to try checking the web for books and articles. Check libraries' websites, Amazon.com, and BarnesandNoble.com for books (The books are usually cheaper on the net.) I hope I've been some help to you. If you think of something that you forgot to mention about your research, send another message and I will be more than happy to offer any assistance I can. Good luck!
Peace, lja

Congratulations Nicolei,
I'm extremely glad to hear that you made an "A"! Keep reading! Keep writing! Keep researching! Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. I am a graduate student so I know how frustrating it can be when you're looking for something that isn't always regularly reported on. Keep up the great work. Peace, lja
