Glycemic: You have to be creative
Mayaguez62: Our Beans are so excellent and I believe pure protein. However, our white rice turns into sugar so quickly. But how may we eat beans without rice? The bacalao is pure protein (but loaded with sodium) The Olive Oil we eat is excellent for us too. Pasteles (just like bananas alone. I think our food is excellent. But to slow the sugar menace, I would suggest that adults take a tablespoon of psyllium before eating our big rice and beans meal of the day! This will lessen the glycemic impact of the food we eat. Eating the way we eat requires daily excercise to prevent weight gain and Diabetis (Type 2).Just a few pointers that may work for you! Study to stay in control of your health. And ask God to Bless your food at every meal. |
