OK everyone...this came out AWESOME!! I fried some platanos then mashed them in the pilon and mixed them with garlic, onions, cilantro some adobo and a small amount of breadcrumbs...stuff the bird and cook as directed. I made this for New Years Eve and my dinner guests have not stopped talking about it! YEAH FOR ADA!!!!
TRY IT AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU LIKE IT.
ps: Hey Max & JSN--how did your seafood mofongo turn out?

It is a very good recipe. I did it on Thanksgiving and it came out great. I never liked putting bread crumbs in my turkey and I like experimenting when I cook. That's how I came about this methods. I highly recommend it.
