Mexican vs PR Food
Patricia, I know this reply is late so if your still out there. Yes my Dear there is a difference in PR food vs Mexican....Seeing that Im from California. I am surrounded with Mexican food. Mainly Tacos and Burritos...My father did not allow my Mom to cook Mexican food because we are Puerto Rican, PR Men back then...Are staple foods are mainly Rice/Beans/Meat Salad and some type of Bread and Butter, no Tortillas or Refried beans and not Mexican fried rice...White Rice, Beans made home made with tons of beautiful spices and some type of smoked meat inside for flavor the meat usually chicken, porkchops, or steak fixed with spices and sauce....this is a typical meal. Fast cheap and Delicious not to mentions good for you....there are so many different types of dishes that compare but not nearly..I belive PR food has more vaness and flavor then Mexican food..my opionion of course...Eda..
