In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught in his book 'Message to the Black Man in America' that the white man is the devil. He taught that since the beginning of the white man's existence there has been nothing but tyranny and bloodshed. Now, I am one who grew skeptic of this at first. But, once I began to study the history of the Caucasian I could do nothing but conclude that the white man is the devil. Devil being a criticism of all the evil that this race of people have perpetuated for the past 6,000 years. Being a native of Puerto Rico, I became skeptic of this being that I have cousins who are of white skin, blue eyes, blond hair. I would not look at them as the devil, or could not look at them as the devil. However, in reading the teachings of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad it lead me to see that it was the actions of white people that he was speaking of and not necessarily their physical features. There have many books written to support this thesis. One of which is the Iceman Inheritance where it states that due to the cold, harsh climatic conditions of Europe, this lead that group of people that we know as Caucasians to develop a harsh and brutal make up in their characteristic. Being that the climate was more an enemy to them than an aider or a friend, they grew to be barbaric. Thus, in their origin we see them dwelling in caves and being very primitive in their actions. Whereas in Africa, where the oldest human remains are documented, we see a more harmonious, peaceful characteristic in the makeup of the people who originate from there. Give me your feedback. What has been the experience of Puerto Ricans in relation to the white man? Is it comparable to that of African-Americans or does it differ?

I can't imagine my close white friends as "Devils".

The situation differs in P.R.'s History in that when the U.S Occupied the Island we were not slaves of the conquerer. It is similar in that in 1898 the U.S. had a superiority attitude. This ofcourse was proven when they appointed Miltary Governers to P.R. because...they thought...that we were too "poor and uneducated" to Govern ourselves.

The U.S. & Spain have done some mistakes. But we have done so less because we were never allowed to make our own mistakes and make decissions on our own Destiny.

But back to the topic....... THE DEVIL AND GOD ALIKE KNOWS NO RACE, RELIGION, OR LOCATIONS FOR THOSE FORCES TO DO THEIR WORK. I HAVE MET BLACK,WHITES, AND EVEN PUERTO RICAN DEVILS......BUT I HAVE ALSO MET BLACKS,WHITES,AND PUERTO RICAN "SAINTS" OR JUST PLAIN GOOD PEOPLE.

So when i see any human face.....I look for the goodness of that person....not its race or religious history.

Dear Min Falu:

It would appear that no mattter what Elijah Muhammad or Louis Farrakahn say, you agree with them. Do you have your own opinions on the current topics affecting us today? Or do you read up on what they think. Do you not have a mind of your own? I certainly don't agree with everything that the Pope has to say on many topics of importance. I'm not afraid to say it. What happens to the member of the Nation of Islam who publicly disagrees with Louis Farrakahn? Is he or she expelled? Are they shunned and ostracized? What happens if a member in private states that Farrakahn is wrong about something? Is he ratted out and made to look like a malcontent? You always write that the Honorable Elijah said this or that he believes that. He isn't infallible. El Haj Malik El Shabazz certainly didn't believe so. What do you think about Malcom X? How does he compare with Farrakahn? It puzzles me that you don't have a mind of your own, that your beliefs and opinions are based on what Farrakhn believes. What does Min Falu believe?

Please........

You are the last person to tell me that I don't have a mind of my own. You are hip high kissing up to the racist Israeli government. In the past year 800 Palestinians have died in their conflict with Israelis. 200 Israelis have died in the past year. So let me see who is suffering more. No, we are free in the Nation Of Islam to disagree with our leader, teacher, and guide, the Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan. Malcolm X was a stone-cold hypocrite. How did he become Malcolm X? Was it not from the teachings of his leader, the Hon. Elijah Muhammad. Malcolm disobeyed a direct order from the Hon. Elijah Muhammad. The Messenger ordered no one to make a public statement in regards to the Kennedy assassination. But, no Malcolm just had to say something. That is what the friction was about. It was about no change of heart that he had with the teachings. Malcolm was in Jedda, Saudi Arabia in 1959 on behalf of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad. He saw white, red, brown, yellow, and Black Muslims then. Why didn't he have his change of heart then? When Malcolm went to his hajj, he saw this as an opportunity to establish a platform. Before as Malcom X he was building on the platform that the Hon. Elijah Muhammad had established for him. Everyone who joins the Nation of Islam receives an 'X'. So with the fact that at this time, the civil rights movement was moving towards integration. Malcolm felt he could use the fact that since Muslims at hajj were in reality integrated, he could use the platform of the civil rights movement to be back in the public eye. Thus, this lead to Malcolm X meeting Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1964 in Washington D.C. I am sure you have seen the picture of both shaking hands. The Hon. Elijah Muhammad and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. met in 1967. This meeting lead to King's change of direction in his campaign from integration to his campaign against the war on Vietnam. This is why the government assassinated King in 1968. They couldn't have such an influential figure campaign against the Vietnam War. In a 1964 FBI memorandum, J. Edgar Hoover stated that it was incumbent upon the FBI to prevent the rise of a 'black Messiah' that would electrify the masses of the Black people in America. NJ7070, to be honest with you. I don't believe that a man named Jesus lived two thousand years ago. According to my studies, Jesus was a character of an Egyptian playright during ancient times. I believe that the Jesus that is spoken of in the Bible and the Holy Qur'an is the Hon.Elijah Muhammad. I believe the Hon. Elijah Muhammad is the fulfillment of all the prophets in the Bible. I believe he is the messiah for the Christians and the Mahdi of the Muslims. I can go further in this, but time does not allow it. More next time, Allah willing.

Exclamation Is that so?

I don't have a personal stake with regards to the Israeli and Palestinian conflict. I don't have family in Isreal. Hell, I 'm not even Jewish. I'm not of arabic descent. I don't own land in any of the settlements. I'm not a muslim. Do you follow me so far? Israel has a terrorist problem. The fundamentalist thugs have been responsible for a lot of bloodshed. I'll say this much. The Palestinians do deserve a country of their own. Israel has a right to defend herself. Should Israel initiate construction projects in areas occupied by Palestinians? I say no. The Palestinians need land that they can call their own. The Anti Israel countries would love for Israel to just hand over the whole country to Palestine. Do you believe that Jews deserve a country of their own or would you rather expel all the jews and replace them with your Palestinian brethren? THe basis of my post was the way that the Israelis handle terrorism. Terrorism is a real concern for me. Any country who can aid the USA in this war on terrorism is doing mankind a big favor.

I do have a question for you. Given Farrakahn disdain for the Jews, do you subscribe to his theories and or beliefs with regards to the Jews? Do you believe that his beliefs are racist?

On to another subject:THE WAR ON TERRORISM

I believe that USA and her allies will win this war. Al Qaida will be crushed. Hamas will fall as will Hezbollah and the rest of the snakes in the terrorist nest.It make take a year or it may take a century, but the evil that is terrorism will be defeated. There are terrorists living among us. Their time will come. Terrorists are murderers. You disagreed with the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01 but yet you qualified it. Where was the outcry from the muslim leaders? Some denounced the attacks by qualifying it. Example. THe prince of Saudi Arabia on his visit to ground zero with Guilani. He denounced the attack but he also stated that this was brought about as aresult of THe USA's ties with Israel. I'm glad Guiliani didn't accept the check. I'm not crazy about Guiliani but I applauded him on this issue.

I am a white Puerto Rican, so am I a devil?

Well, I guess I am a devil if I am white? NOT! I can remember seeing the Nation of Islam followers pushing their publications in New York when I was a kid (1960s). When I reached my teens (1970s) walking with my friends, which were African-Americans, I was the only "white boy" in the group. We were approach by one and they said to my friends, "get away from that white boy" They said I would contaminate them..we just laughed. I laugh now at any group who believes in Racism in any form. We are Humans..if we get cut, we all bleed RED right? If we look around the world, we can see that all races and groups have treated their Brothers and Sisters terribly. I believe in the Human race, not fanatical ideas. The American Muslin movement has its good points; getting people off drugs, encouraging self discipline, working for the common good, but when they speak of other races such as the White devils, bad Jews, or Christians, then they are not any different from other hateful and racist groups. Yo Soy Boricua, un blanquito, con sangre Negra y Taina..por que yo se de donde es mi Abuela..por que en Puerto Rico somos de tres Razas...Gracias a Dios..Yaweh, Allah, Elohim, or what ever name you what to give the Supreme One.
