"Interracial Marriage and Relationships"

It is true that Latinos especially Puerto Ricans have numerous races as part of our makeup, and we can blend with anyone; at least that's the way it's supposed to be. I have dated men of various races and am married to a black man, as a matter of fact I have grown up around many blacks. I have found it difficult to get along with them for long. After my mother passed (a beautiful Latina woman with freckles and red hair-she kind of reminds me of Paulia Rubio)my non-Latino relatives tried to make my life a living nightmare. I was denied my own heritage and wasn't even allowed to speak spanish in the house. Whether related to them, dating them or knowing them, life within their circle is difficult. I have never been accepted and now that I have a son, it's the same thing all over again. My husband makes it easier although we still have our culture clashes. I have never had these difficulties with othes Latinos, ever, but I rarely come across people other than blacks or whites. We don't think the same, eat the same, or raise our kids the same. I have tried to acclamate, but no matter how many times I tried to go hip hop it still comes out salsa.

My mother is Dutch my father Scottish/Irish,I've grown up in Australia.I am engaged to a Puerto Rican who also has a mixed back round but say's his straight up Puerto Rican... I don't think it matters what your back round is, it has to do with how you feel. Although I have a mixed back round I feel I am Australian and although my partner has a mixed backround he feels that he is Puerto Rican "born and breed"!!

Smile Inter-racial dating

I am a white female, I was raised only to date white guys. But i have only seem to date spanish men. I'm currently living and dating with my boyfriend, who is a puerto rican man. I couldn't be happier. He is the sweetest, and i love him very much! i couldn't even picture myself with a white man. I have recently visited Puerto Rico with my boyfriend, and I love his country, hopefully if we get married i wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my honeymoon but to Puerto Rico!!
