Hi, my name is Nadia. I live in Imperial Beach specifically. I'm looking for more Puerto Rican assosiates so not to lose my culture or forget what I am. Being that my family was the only Puerto Rican family in Texas, I felt like that last Mohican. I can't cook Puerto Rican food, I can't dance Salsa or Mirengue, and I guess you can see I can barely spell nor speak either. I can communicate only barely. I can understand the Spanish, but I won't speak it correctly. I want to find someone, male or female, to help me get over my fear and learn. I'm 5'6, 20-years-old, brown hair and brown eyes,(of course, typical boricua), Who would love to find someone to spend time with amoungest all these Mexicans. No offense, I have much love for Mexicans, but it's about remembering what I am and what my culture is. Unlike my brothers, (who married white women and are ashamed of being Puerto Rican and don't want anything to do with the culture), I'm the opposite. I want to be able to stand up for once and be proud. I'm a good girl, so please don't take this the wrong way. If I do meet someone, let it be a friend first and MAYBE more later. I like to go to church and put God first in my life before making the same mistake that other 20-years-old do. You want to find a good girl? You won't find them at a club smoking, drinking, or taking them home the first night you see them.

Well , I dont think that all is lost. I was over in California last summer doing an internship with HACU in the US Forest Service in Riverside, California. While I was there I went with a PR friend to a local PR festival. Well I know that Riverside is a bit of a drive from San Diego ( nice zoo!) , believe me there is a small but lively community of PRs over in California( 140,570 in California and about 14,937 in San diego county-U.S Census Data-2000). Well, besides, Mexicans are nice folks-they just have a more serious aspect then us Ricans. You describe yourself sweetly...too bad California is so faaaaar away!!

I can be afriend and I think only that since I am also 10 years older than you. I live in Los Angeles. My father lives in San Diego. I know alot of PRn here and I myself don't know how to dance salsa. I attend church 3 to 4 times a week and sometimes prayer in the morning. That is the best time.
