Unhappy

Please someone help me...My boyfriend and I had seen this beautiful hotel in Puerto Rico. I don't know how to spell the name so I can't get any info on the web. It is something like the El Conquerdora Country Club. Does anyone know about it? I don't hear much about it. We are in our twenties, and want to be able to go out and party at night.Any suggestions???

Try El Conquistador. It makes more sense in Spanish.

I am not familiar with the hotel/resort.

For night life the best hotels are in Old San Juan, Condado, or Isla Verde.

El Conquistador is in the town of Fajardo on the north-eastern coast. Its a totally renovated resort, pricy and elegant with a big selection of accomodations but at least one hour to the "action" on the San Juan, Santurce area. This is a hotel to visit for a day or two as there is not much going on outside the hotel. Now if it is the Condado Beach Hotel or La Concha well they are closed and abandoned as the government use to run them and they did to the ground. Its a sight for sore eyes to see all boarded up and no lights in that area, its embarrasing and nobody does anything. That property has such a great potential if only they fixed the beach, put some wave-breakers and create a beach like Miami Beach and save the fabulous Vandervilt Mansion. Its a sin that not even a street light in that area has been put and with such famous young Puertorican designers and architects in the area. But you know corruption!!!

Or maybe El Convento in Old San Juan, an old convent that has been converted into a nice low key hotel where you can hang out and have cocktails in a beautiful terrace setting!
