BORICUA is the Native-American term (before Political Correctness, it was considered an "Indian" term), for the People of BOHREE-KEHN, (in Spanish, "Boriquén"), which is the Taíno name of Puerto Rico and it is said that it means in the Taíno Language, "Land of Many Rivers" (note: Taínos were the Native American Group that settled the islands of Cuba, the Bahamas, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico and Jamaica).

Actually I have always read that Boricua was the Taino word ( Taino means "peace" in that Arawack type language) that mean "people of the valiant or noble lord" or "people of the lord and Borinquen meant land of the valiant and noble lord. I lived in Puerto Rico almost all of my life and maybe it's a regional thing but in Cidra we call pendejo to a scary person or a shy person in bad terms.

heyy!!!!!! well i tooo grew up in pr most of my life and i wouldve never thought that pendejo really meant what yall said it did. its good to know what words really mean before you say them to anybody.thanx i appreciate it!!!
