Go to PR in a cruise ship.
It is worth it. Good luck, try taking some kind of clas or reading some books. Remember, the chances of you dying in an airplane crash is 1,000,000 to 1, the same of a meteor destroying the know civilization of Homosapiens.

Hola, chica...
I suffered from the same fear and like you, it kept me from traveling to PR. This is exactly what I did to conquer it: I drove to Jacksonville and put my car on a boat to San Juan. At that point, I had no choice ... either get on a plane or walk back to NY! In other words, eliminate as many take-offs and landings as you can possibly eliminate. If you can take a bus or a train to Miami, then you have only ONE take-off and ONE landing between you and your beautiful island. Once you are in the air, you will no longer be afraid. Two hours and twenty minutes later, you will be landing in San Juan. Come on, chica. Do it for me, ok? I'll do anything to help you and all I ask in return is a postcard from San Juan.

Don't worry about it. I use to have the sam problem but what I do is imagine what it's gonna be like when I get there, who I'm going to see and so on. Think of all the places you'd like to visit and try not to think of the fact that you are on a plane.

Quote:
Fear can cause that a man or woman be totally crippled, unable to move either way in life. The Bible says,"fear has torment. Anyone who fears, is not made perfect in love." If you are a born again believer, there is no reason to fear, because God has everything under control. As a matter of fact, we all do not know the future. In this case, we must totally put our trust in God to see us through and to aid us. Indeed, I have one daughter and God forbid if something happens. We are planning to travel this year and I keep telling my wife, "you know Iam afraid of flying becuase as you know I only have one daughter and I don't want to get on board some plane and both our lives will be snuffed by some crazy idiot.I cannot take that risk." I mean, it is a real factor to fear that something might happen. However, I am resolved to put my trust in the Lord with all mine heart and leave my life in his hands, because i know that if I die, I know where I'm going. I'm going to meet the Lord and be with him forever. Don't be afraid, just take life a day at a time. Travel and go on with your life and make some thing good out of it. God bless you. and have a nice day and I hope that this has been a great comfort to you.
