What does WEPA really mean

wepa means whats up, it's basically a greeting meaning hi. I was a missionary in puerto rico for two years it was the best I said "wepa" everyday walking down the streets.

I always interpreted ¡WEPA! as, like, ¡Que Viva! or like, Yeah!

I never heard anyone use wepa to say, whats up?Its usually said after some sort of event,used to incourage it.Similar to bravo,OLE!,ect
