Gracias,

I'm going to give you a hand...."Ayudame" you did fine but just remember one word.
"Puedo hablar...(instead of habla)"
"Puertorriquena (instead of Puerto riquena)"
half is "mitad"....overall your spanish is not bad (grammar) just need to polish a few details and you are going to do fine. For a person who perhaps has spent most of her life in U.S. (hope I'm right) I don't see a reason for you to hit the "panic" button. Keep up the good work and you'll be on your way to success! When you least expect it, you'll be fluent in Spanish. Ah, if you have cable watch the Spanish channels and whenever you get a chance, read spanish newspaper. Here's a link to "El Nuevo Dia" newspaper in P.R. (Internet). You'll have a lot to practice here, it's the perfect place to learn how to pronounce words and practice your grammar as well.

Best regards and have a good day.

Muchos gracias para tu ayuda. I will continue to educate myself in reading and writing en espanol. I do speak spanish, but just the basics that I grew up with. I will be visiting PR soon and I really want to be able to communicate in all aspects. More than likely I will be living in Bayamon in the next year. I should have learned a long time ago pero, mi familia was bi racial and didn't enforce the language the way it should have been.

Thanks again for your support.
I hope you have a wonderful day as well.

No hay problema!

Good luck in Bayamon, I was born and raised there, I have lots of good memories about my querido pueblo Vaquero!
Have a good day.
