Hi I grew up in a bilingual home. Both French and English were spoken. As a child I spoke only English but understood French. My grandmother spoke mostly French and I answered in English. As I grew a little older I began practiceing speaking French, too. Later as an adult I tried classes in Spanish. It was a comedy of errors.
![]() I kept mixing my French in with my Spanish. It totally frustrated my instructor. I finally gave up perfecting my Spanish, there was just too much French in me. Your choice to stick with French is probably best. good luck.

r_so,
I am in Texas, not born here. English is my primary language. I can read French well enough to understand generally. I haven't kept up with my French since no one around me speaks it. Here in Texas everyone has there own colloquialisms. I find myself speaking Texan more than any other language. LOL Some times I am amazed when I hear myself speak; my speach has changed so much. I love Texas though, and Texans, so I will probably just keep on speaking it. ![]() Lovie |
