There is a website that belongs to the California State University in San Marcos. As far as I know there is nothing else like it in the U.S.
It has books in Spanish and English for kids and teenagers. They also list a recommended reading list and give you a little write up on each book.
If you want to expose our children to more cultural reading as well as good translations of classics, this is a good place to browse.
