Sometimes fate or karma of whatever you want to call it, destiny can be strange. Sometimes if we linger too long, we miss the best opportunities. And the strange thing is it can happen over and over again. The opportunities present themselves, and we don't jump because we're so wanting to do the right thing.

I know. It happened to me. Missed opportunities. I try not to let them be regrets.

Ya know as I was emailing some more education/business oriented stuff last night I took a moment to stop by this site and got Lorelei's reply. I thought, yea, darn! We've all 'been there done that' in terms of this frustrating stuff. I got home late and tired, wanting to just go to sleep, but then I thought of Lorelei's last sentence, be proactive. So I thought who knows maybe this 'papi chulo' is on top of things and has already reconnect that cell phone, so call him NOW.

Good news. He did reconnect it. He answered the phone and wouldn't let me off the phone until about an hour and a half later! I just kept the conversation positive, and then he did invite me out for this friday. So what now?
I guess just stay positive -- and advice you women already probably know on first dates, have it together and be ready promptly!

Thanks for your advice. [thought Italia may want to know that my 'madrina' god mother is Italian from New York married to a Puerto Riceno, but we've lost contact since they went to go live in Italy several years ago -- see ya just never know.]

I am sorry I have not been on this particular post to see what the latest was Now I am here. It sounds like good things are happening with the Cutie Pie So, just like Lorelei says...make sure you don't feel the need to "perform" on the date. Just relax and have fun. Get to know one another.

Just curious...you had mentioned he would be there in Venezuela only through mid Jan. Where is he going? Are you going to be there much longer??
