Is the Spanish spoken in Puerto Rico different to the Spanish spoken in Spain? If so, how can I differentiate between them and learn the Puerto Rican one?
thanks ps - does anyone here know anyone with the dashing, sultry good looks of Benecio Del Toro? If so, do you have a contact number or email?! Thank you, thank you... ;-) |

Oh yes, the spanish in PR is spoken much differently from the spanish of Spain, because of PR's ethnic mixture and isolationism from the rest of the world. Such words as vos (Consult with a forum memeber, named Conciencia, for that...) and vosotros are not used much in PR, and also the words for bus and the accents in which the Spaniards speak their language, are different.
To learn about PR spanish, e-mail a forum memeber named nene787, which hangs out in the Politics, Open Board, and Music sections, he has a lot of information on that particular subject. Good Luck. ![]()
