Palmieri, who's led bands for 38 years and won 5 Grammys, makes some of the most rhythmic music around, fusing such
Afro-Cuban styles as the rumba and mambo with the free-wheeling, gut-churning jazz improvisation of his twelve member band.

We have all the old records and mw and my boyfriend are stocking up on the old stuff, but on CD. We have Ismael River, tipica 73, Pacheco and lots more.

What about ANYTHING by la Sonora Poncena. You can't lose with them! Ismael Rivera (anything by him)...HECTOR LAVOE (que Dios lo tenga en paz)...Get "AFUERA" the album by Bobby Valentin...or "El Gato" by him also.
