Hi. I'm doing a project on Puerto Rico for one of my classes. If anyone knows of any singer or bands that came from Puerto Rico. I know Ricky Martin is. I need to more some more though.

There are literally 100's of Puerto Rican singers and bands... exactly which ones are you interested in? Is your report focusing on those who have made it on to the US Charts and market or are you generally interested in the Musical Culture of Puerto Rico? If you can be more specific I may be able to give you some information.

For starters:

Jennifer Lopez ( Singer/Actress) is Puerto Rican;
Marc Anthony ( Singer/Actor ) is Puerto Rican;
Ricki Martin (Singer/Actor) was born and raised in Puerto Rico;
As far as bands go - - check out "el Gran Combo" , Tito Puente and his Orchestra and the list goes on...
