Much to my frustration - I have not been able to locate the author of the poem your profesor recited.

I love reading and writing poetry but I have never had anything in common with any "practicing" poet my age. Oh' well. I am fortuante enough to live close to one of the best Puerto Rican writers- David Hernandez and Luis Rodriguez and I enjoy everything Piri Thomas has ever done. But those guys mostly attract young urban Latinos. Now Borges was and still is the master of poetry.
