Tito Nieves is the current singer of this song. The original artist was Joe Cuba.

I LIKE IT LIKE THAT WAS ORINALLY PLAYED BY PETE RODRIGUEZ ( T. PAVON/M.RODRIGUEZ) UNDER THE LABLE BRANSTON MUSIC INC./BMI This song came out during the era of the Boogaloo ,and Watusi alot of cats came out with cool tunes such as Joe Cuba with ( bang bang; I'll never go back to Georgia) Joe Bataan( gypsy woman)Tito Puente ( oye como va ) The era had a lot of Latin talent and it eventually gave birth to salsa and the Fania All Stars....

I saw the movie too and parts of it were really sad but it did describe Puerto Rican culture and I laughed so hard at times. I do like Tito Nieves and would love to see him come to concert in this hillbilly town where I live.

Smile

I MET TITO NIEVES BACK IN 95 I BELIEVE IT WAS. HE DID TWO CONCERTS INGERMANY THE SAME YEAR AND THE FIRST ONE I HAD TO MISS CAUSE I WAS CAUGHT SKIPPING SCHOOL ( I WAS IN THE 10TH GRADE) BUT MY PARENTS WENT AND HE WROTE OUT A LONG LETTER FOR ME ON THIS POSTER AND RECORDED A MESSAGE FOR ME ON MY DAD'S VIDEO CAMERA. IT REALLY MADE MY DAY SINCE I WAITED UP ALL NIGHT FOR MY PARENTS TO COME HOME AND THEM HAVE THAT MESSAGE FOR ME FROM TITO TELLING ME TO STAY IN SCHOOL AND NOT CUT UP LIKE I WAS. HE IS VERY NICE AND DOWN TO EARTH AND HIS TAKING TIME TO SEND ME THAT MESSAGE REALLY MADE MY DAY... SO I CAUGHT THE NEXT CONCERT AND GOT TO BE BACKSTAGE AND MEET HIM, HIS NEW CD'S ARE GOOD, BUT THE BEST IS ROMPECABEZA. CUIDENSE.... BRENDA
