I congratulate him in his success... Yes.
But his style is very American. On the other hand, Let's talk about Mark Anthony. His new song is very BORICUA #1 and the song it self is beautiful. Let's talk...

I am really proud of all of them. Jeniffer , Ricky, and Mark. I think it's about time we get recongnized for our music and talents. Now you see them everywhere. Let's not forget Elvis cause you know he's in there.
I love them all.........

MARC ANTHONY IS EL PAPI MAS GRANDE QUE YO HE VISTO. MAN...I SEEN HIM IN CONCERT IN P.R. BACK IN 96 AND I LOVED IT. HE GIVES YOU GOOSE BUMPS WHEN HE SINGS. DID YOU GUYS SEE THE BANCO POPULAR VIDEO LAST YEAR HOW HE SANG THE SONG, THE CHORUS SAID " YO TE QUIERO, PUERTO RICO" THAT WAS BAD. WHOOOOO DAMN I LOVE THAT MAN. I LIKE RICKY MARTIN, BUT I LOVE ME SOME MENUDO! OOH, I WAS SO HAPPY WITH "REENCUENTRO" DAMN, I WISH I COULD HAVE GONE TO THE CONCERT. MY OPINION ON JENNIFER LOPEZ MIGHT BE DIFFERENT THAN YA'LLS THOUGH. I THINK SHE SHOULD STICK TO ACTING AND DANCING. THE SONG SHE DID WITH MARC IS GOOD, BUT MARC DIDN'T BLOW AS HE ALWAYS DOES BECAUSE SHE'S NOT ALL THAT GOOD. I'M NOT P.HATING BUT I JUST DON'T THINK SINGING IS HER THING. BUT PROPS FOR REPRESENTING HER P.RICAN PEOPLE, AND DAMN SH'E LUCKY FOR GETTING IT ON WITH MARC IN HIS VIDEO!! WHOOOOOO

Ok, you say he is too American in his style? What exactly is American style? I mean technically we are American because we are American Citizens so what is wrong with his adapting to American standards? English is a world-wide language, in every country there is probally one person atleast that speaks english so it is cool that he can concert languages and still be as famous and even get more famous!~ He has had americans (in the main states) accept out language and musical type and i applaude him for it. it's not like he is ever going to forget his puertorrican roots and the spanish language so let him do his own thing.......

If you read what I said... I congratulate him in his successs. More power to him and his! What I'm saying in the statement of to Americanized is, if you notice a lot of the White Americans are hip to it WHY? #1 He was in General Hopital, La novela. #2 His style in some of his songs, is not like you can do Salsa or Merengue to... You know what I mean? Yes we are Americans, I know that! But WE the PuertoRican Society is completely different than any other. Especially the White Americans. No matter what, We are always looked at as DIFFERENT. I was brought up in a part of Massachussetts where my family was the only Puerto Rican family and in the whole town, but anyway one of my best friends whom is Black American we were always treated differently and if we played the part for them we were how they say; KOOL.

I agree with Brenda. I do give Ricky his props but come on really how are we suppose to dance to Mi Vida Loca. Brenda I feel where you are coming from. I too had to deal with racism not only as a child but as a teeneager growing up in Southie. If you know what I mean. Yeah of course they (white) are going to like him, he is fair skinned and light brown hair. See if they would of liked him if he was dark skinned? I am not raisist and all but I know the majority of the white society feels that way towards us latinos. But besides that I applaud Ricky,Marc Anthony (my favorite), big pun, fat Joe and all them Jennifer (she still needs to work on her voice, better yet stick to acting!!!!)
