Two Puerto Rican movies

Just saw two good Puerto Rican movies.

1- TAINOS: a story about a lost Taino tribe still surviving in the mountains of the island. Despite having contacts with the larger society, the inhabitants basically keep to themselves; keeping their ancient traditions alive until a group of misfits discovers them and hell breaks loose.

2- CAYO: A love triangle between friends growing up on Culebra. It's a novela type sob story, however there is also a political twist, one which many Puerto Ricans will like but statehooders, will hate. Nonetheless it should be seen by all.

OTHER Puerto Rican films:

1- MARUJA: story of a small town hot tamale married to an older barber. she gets the hots for a younger guy who comes into town, then hell breaks loose when she lures him to a desolate beach location in Vega Baja. Town BOCHINCHERAS and husband does her in.

2-MARTIANS INVADE PUERTO RICO: A B movie that was filmed back in the 70's. Its about a princess from Mars who lands on the island looking for men. Figure out the rest.

3-HOT TROPICS: One of the first American movies filmed on the island back in the 50's. It stars Mari Blanchard, a blond bomb shell who roams her husbands sugar plantation every night looking for "trouble." Great scenes of new airport back in 1955.

4-Y DIOS LOS CRIA: Great movie with five stories. First class entertainment, specially the story of the old hooker with the young pimp.

5-LO QUE LE PASO A SANTIGO: Picked for an Oscar nomination as best FOREIGN FILM. Story of a retired widower, Tommy Muniz, who meets an excentric beauty, Gladys Rodriguez, and then is wrapped up in her fantasy world. GREAT FILM!

6-LUNA DE MIEL EN PUERTO RICO: Hot tamale, Maria Antonieta Pons wiggles her way around the island. Jose Miguel Agrelot serves as funny guy. Great scenes of a newly constructed Caribe Hilton. Movie is in color thus enhancing island's beauties back in the 50's.

Any more?
