It is hard for me to understand the concept that there is such a thing as a love song in the English language. The other thing I don't get is the sapiness of these so-called love songs. I tend to prefer the "romantic mood" of unrequited (or impossible) love.

I can understand what Stanley is talking about, every time they sing about "love" in English, love almost always means S-E-X. Take "love" out of Beatles songs and there is nothing left. If you want real love songs play Charlie Za, Tito Rodriguez or the music of the old trios, los Panchos, Los Hispanos, San Juan.

To: LatinDolphin and Stanley
Hi LatinDolphin,
Welcome! Good choice. My daughter is fond of Mariah as well. She had her poster up for some time. Hi Stanley, I am sure there are others with the same sentiments. In my mind, the songs sung in Spanish appear awfully romantic and sexier.

I definitely find Spanish way more romantic than English! I love Marc Anthony´s songs...
