Hi guys,
I am planning a vacation to Purto Rico between Nov 25-28 (Thanksgiving). That will be great if anyone answers my following questions: 1) Cool stuff to do in Puerto Rico. 2) Is Puerto Rico part of US (Is it a state of US). I live in US but I am not a US citizen. I was wondering whether I can goto Puerto Rico without any problem. Thanks for help... -Bilge |

Hi bilgehano,
Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States. Puerto Ricans are U. S. citizens and can travel without passports back and forth to the mainland U. S. U.S. citizens who are not Puerto Rican can also do the same. Since you are not a U. S. citizen and I do not know your status, I am not sure if this applies to you. If, however, you are a legal resident of the U.S., you should not have any problems traveling to Puerto Rico, but you could need some kind of documentation. Check with Immigration to see how this effects you. As far as what to do in Puerto Rico, I suggest you go to the Public Library and check out a few travel books on Puerto Rico. There are several books that can tell you about places to go, hotels to stay at, prices, rental cars, museums, and entertainment. Have a safe trip and welcolm to the forum. lja |
