Un Poema dedicado a Yautia

[/center]

¡Mientras viajo a través distintas tierras,

No puedo esperar sentirlo otra vez,

On My Eagle's Wings
COPYRIGHTED 2002

I was a prey, though I knew my captor very well
Yes, I saw him coming, yet I let him take me somehow
Into his world…. into his dormain.
He lifted me way up to the sky on his Eagle's wings.

What an experience it was, one I cannot forget
For it would marvel anyone just to see and feel what I have!
The pleasure of flying so high, being held by your Eagle, as you fly
Teaching you all that you don't know, yet holding you very close...

Helping you develope and grow… yes!
Those Eagle's wings took me away, to a paradise I must say
One where life can stay very still, yet you don't realize that you have your fill,
Of life’s pleasures, which are simple yet, many can't seem to see,
What it means when they set you free!

As I traveled through many lands, that my Eagle surely knew,
I was mesmerized by what I found,
To be the simplest pleasure of life!
I can't wait to experience this again,
With my Eagle and on his wings, where he will carry me
To places unknown to me while holding me tenderly.

Tell me my Eagle now, why are you so high up the cloud?
Can't you come down to me, so I can fly away with thee!

Leticia,
I am sorry I did not reply earlier to your poem. I read it days ago. Today a friend of mine who is Japanese and lives in China sent me flowers and it was in honor of my mother. There are good days and bad days. Some days I just can't respond.

Today is my son's birthday. He is ten years old. I am realizing that my mother's influences on the last days of her life on him were good ones that he remembers. He spent almost the last days of her life with her, and she worked with him and bought him books and read with him and taught him many things and did what she did with him as she does with all children. She nurtured his spirit. And for that I am grateful.

I could not read the poem again....me hizo llorar. Gracias Leticia.

Suki

Suki...believe me I truly understand what you are saying....I went through it three times in one year...I lost my dad, my father n law and then my husband....and many times I still accept they are gone. the pain gets better with time...yet the memory will always be with you. You will see it in everything that she did with you and for you. It is so good that she was able to influence your son for any given time. That is what is missing in today's society. I understand you not wanting to read the poem....it was her favorite of my collection.

Siempre...Lety
