Exclamation

It wasn't long ago that our civic leaders on every level were forced to address the issue of racial profiling. New Jersey State Troopers were exposed before the whole nation.
Recent coverage on CNN has exposed racial profiling of people who are of Arabic descent or look like they might be of Arabic descent. There was a reporter at the airport in Los Angeles covering a story about an Arabic man, who was profiled and searched. The law enforcement officials decided to press matters a little further by searching his car only to discover that this gentlemen had a lot more than a spare tire in his trunk. He was transporting explosives designated for the control tower. He was thwarted and more than likely will spend the rest of his life in a federal prison. The reporter covering this story began asking passengers if this sort of racial profiling was right? Most people agreed. This isn't only happening in Los Angeles. Right now even as you read and respond to this thread, many members of law enforcemet officials are positioned at all the bridges and tunnles of NYC searching not all vehicles, but certain vehicles driven by individuals who happen to be of Arabic descent or look like they might be of Arabic descent. This sort of thing will feed the monster known as paranoia. Anyone care to comment?

[b][i]If I were from the Middle East and grateful to be here in the USA and I happened to know who in my ethnic community is connected to the terrorists I would be the first one to come forward to the FBI with my facts. This would remove profiling against my ethnic community INSTANTLY.

After all, ACTIONS speak louder than words...
