Lorelei the only University that fits that description is a private one

the one called University of Denver. DU, it is very expensive and very small and basically conservative. It has a good law school. I have a friend that goes to that University on scholarship. Good Luck! Condoleeza Rice attended it too! Yep, very republican. lol.

i didnt mean to sound like that

Lorilei-

I didnt mean to sound like I was questioning where you went, I was just interested because I was rejected by Princeton attended Penn, graduated from Temple Univ. I was actually just curious. No harm intended. and Denver U. is a great school from what I have read, and even has an up and coming Basketball team (like that means anything....)

Suki- Yes. Im 27 college grad and work in white collar atmosphere of managment and marketing consulting, and have had many wierd experiences where people thought they were safe to make their bigoted statements. You would probably not be surprised with the things I have heard said to me. There is a good story similar to mine on Boricua.com written by a Puerto Rican writer) But I wish evey American immigrant remembered the jpbs that their grandparents had in the last 100 years and realized that many Latinos today are 1st generation and need these jobs, but favor family and ethics over big pay anyway. I actually like that credo. It gives me a good reason to quit my job and start doing some things that I like instead of things that just give me material comfort. If only I didn't like kenneth Cole so much.....

It's okay, torr59, I didn't think anything different of your question than what you intended. You sound like a reasonable person. It was a reasonable question.

If it means anything to anyone. There is ivy growing on some of the older buildings at the college. The school is over 100 years old. Maybe that's why my friend thought it was ivy league.
