I usually adopt my brothers grandchildren or kids when I need to have a challenge for the day. All my best to you and your family, |

Geri and Letty
Thank you. She was born weighing 7 pounds and 20 inches long. She and her sister have been a mixed blessing for me. I was not ready to be a grandmother, and more importantly their parents were not ready to be parents either. I was looking forward to an empty nest (because I was such a young mother too) and doing my own thing without having to think about "I can't do this or that because I need to be home for my kids." Because my son and his wife are so young they need a lot of support. So, I still sacrifice things like vacation and weekend time, instead of going off and doing something else, I try to give them a break and take my grandchildren.
Well, they are worth it. The time will come soon enough when my son and his wife will be old enough to stand up under this responsibility on their own. In the meantime I am there for all of them because I love them. |

Lorelei you sound too young to be a grandma to me!
Well, you are very fortunate no matter what the circumstances....Yautia wants to be a granny and my sister and I are both in our thirties and no cigar on either of our sides....she is not happy. She wants grandmotherhood! But, who knows if it will happen...nothing in life is guaranteed.
You enjoy your granddaughter and congratulations!! Suki. |
