It's a latin club. Real nice. If anyone is interested let me know. I'll set up some kind champage thing. You could bring your friends and we'll all have a good time. Just let me know if you are really interested. See Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !

Lol Delgado. When I lived in Brooklyn it was St. George Hotel, Prospect Hall and Casa Borinquen, which turned into Casa Quisqueya during the Dominican invasion! lol.
As you all know I was suppose to move to Jersey but I got a job in Brooklyn. My new job in Bay Ridge would make it impossible for me to travel from Jersey to work in peace! Traffic is hell in NY! So now I have to find a place close to Bay Ridge. I visited the area only to feel claustrophobic! Buildings and stores and NO PARKING! I've been away too longgggg! I just don't know what to do????????????????? I just returned from there today...I got lost in my own BOROUGH! That's so sadddd! lol! I'm thinking of going towards Manhattan Beach...no further than that. Or Staten Island in that GATED COMMUNITY WITH PARKING AT NO CHARGE! Or maybe I could travel from PA to Brooklyn everyday? Ay no...me muero! P.S. Delgado...I've noticed we've been invaded by JHS'ers!

LOL.. los dicen "Quisqueyanos Valientes!!!" if you saw a thread I started the other day, which talked about the progression of blacks, puerto ricans, dominicans and mexicans, you'd definitely be able to see what I was getting at -- seeing all of this first hand yourself there in Broken Land (aka Brueckelen)... I would be lost if I went to Brooklyn now, and I used to live there. But I never went past Avenue U (shopping) and only passed THROUGH Bay Ridge to avoid the BQE and the other highways to get to the Verrazano... lol... so don't feel bad. Plus Brooklyn has changed so much in the last 5 years alone. I have a cousin who used to commute from the Princeton area to Harlem everyday for 20 years. And she had a daughter and three small grandchildren half of that time... but pa' mi??? No way I'm making THAT commute in 2005... un gran disastre! LOL If you're going to remain in Brooklyn, try Brooklyn Heights or Cobble Hill, otherwise, forget the city and move to Jersey City, I think that is better, and you can take the N/R trains directly to that section of Brooklyn (if I remember correctly, the R runs down to 95th street in Bay Ridge) P.S. what are JHS? I probably know, but I am slow today... lol |

And actually, Jane, my commute from Newark to Brooklyn was only 45 minutes every morning (but this was pre-9/11 and before all the trains had to be re-routed and caused more congestion. But if you absolutely MUST drive, I really think you would be better served in those aforementioned neighborhoods in Brooklyn (add Park Slope) or someplace like Laurelton, Forest Hills, Kew Gardens or Douglaston, Queens if you want to remain in the City. Staten Island is a headache, not only for the traffic (although the commute is only 10 minutes from Bay Ridge on a good day) but you have to pay $7 (it has gone up since I left New York, I'm sure, but that's what it was before I moved) to cross the Verrazano both ways! |

I should of taken the Atlantic Avenue exit. Can't get lost that way, but nooo I had to take to take those expressways to avoid the hundreds of White Castles. You know the weddings in Eastern Brooklyn can back up traffic for hours! ![]() If you're going to remain in Brooklyn, try Brooklyn Heights or Cobble Hill, otherwise, forget the city and move to Jersey City, I think that is better, and you can take the N/R trains directly to that section of Brooklyn (if I remember correctly, the R runs down to 95th street in Bay Ridge) Your right I could take the train. The last stop leaves me about 3 blocks from the workplace. That will be my last resort. I'm just going to use a broker and look with calm. Manhattan Beach is looking better. I can't do Queens cause there's traffic getting on the highway. $14 to cross the bridge both ways? That just put a damper on my gated community. Manhattan Beach is looking better now! I'm going to look into those areas. Thanks!
