Cloning HUMANS is not science.

[i]Children conceived IN-VITRO are still a problem in the making, with unmarried women in their sixties playing dolls with human babies that they cannot really take full care of in the remainder of their natural lives. If the social and psychological consequences of the plain and simple fertilization and implantation of human embryos have not been fully explored and determined, what use is it to play with CLONED human beings?

The Human Genome has been barely mapped (the human genome is the collection of all the genes encoded into the 23 pairs of chromosomes), and many if not most of the genes described by the genome are not fully understood. Many genes in the Human Genome now considered as mere evolution NOISE remnants by evolutionary conjecturers[b] may prove out to be ESSENTIAL genetic information when decades from now science begins unlocking the mysteries of genetic code DESIGN. The Current map of the Human Genome is like the map of the world and the contour of the coasts of the continents and islands during the 17th and 18th century; with literaly much of the blanks in those maps having been filled in during the last 100 years. And since the Human Genome is mostly TERRA INCOGNITA, real scientists recognize that much genetic science has to be fully explored during the next 100 to 200 years before anyone can say with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY "we know all there is to know about what makes us HUMAN". Once science REALLY knows ALL the consequences of manipulating human reproduction and human genetics, then can there be an ETHICAL use of that information.

However, the people driving the HUMAN CLONING issue now are mostly entrepreneurs who want to EXPLOIT any new potential discovery in this field. They are not far from being in the same category as SLAVE TRADERS and CONQUISTADORES of old, who placed personal gain over ETHICS. And most contemporary Politicians advocating HUMAN CLONING are not far from being the INVESTORS of who bankrolled the expeditions made by SLAVE TRADERS and CONQUISTADORES of old.

Based on this past EXPERIENCE, then the HUMAN CLONING ISSUE is not SCIENCE but sheer GREED and POWER-PLAY.

I would say that human clonig should be allowed when science figures out how to add the adaptation component of their evolution theory.

If they cannot do this how will a clone be able to cope in a changing biological environment?

In theory this would send mankind the way of the dinosour at our expense in broad daylight.

easy jibaro, it's the boricuafrican, not the Minister...why do you think we're the same person???...i was typing fast when i wrote that, i meant that if we got THAT good at cloning individuals, then instead of using some sort of spiritial link, we could just have the person cloned, it was supposed to be a tad funny, but i guess it backfired...
