Decir amnesia es dar demasiado credito. Para tener amnesia uno debe haber tenido conciencia de estas cosas en algun momento y olvidado. Lo que observas es el resultado de anos de propaganda Estado Unidense dirigida hacia la comunidad Puertorriquena, tanto los radicados en los E.U como en PR, cuyo fin es el de ocultar y opacar la historia.

La historia es solo una y aquí le presento la verdadera historia. Los articulos de arriba son meros cuentos manipulados por elementos de izquierda.

Les invito a buscar el periódico El Mundo de Puerto Rico, del martes 28 de septiembre de 1999, por el periodista Obed Betancourt(página 11), donde aparece la noticia que el gobierno cubano financió con $50,000 al Ejército Popular Boricua, "Macheteros", para el asalto que éstos dieron en septiembre de 1983 a la compañía Wells Fargo, en Hartford, Connecticut en el que obtuvieron $7.2 millones.

Cito tan solo un fragmento de la noticia:

"Según Jorge Ricardo Massetti (Martín), el gobierno de Cuba, a través de él como agente de diversas agencias cubanas de espionaje y "revolucionario profesional", como se confiesa, le dio "apoyo" a los Macheteros.

Esta labor de apoyo la había dado el gobierno cubano a los distintos movimientos guerrilleros en toda América Latina a través del Departamento de América, que dirigía Manuel Piñeiro. Las guerrillas colombianas, guatemaltecas.uruguayas, nicaraguenses. chilenas y argentinas fueron, entre otras, recipientes de dicho apoyo."

Hey,BEECHO I agree with you!The FALN and the Machetero terrorism can not be compared to the style of warfare waged by the American commanders of the Revolution like Washington,Greene,Lee,Gates,Morgan,etc.1st)they never used underground organizations to INTENTIONALLY kill or maim un-armed civilians while at public places.In other words,THERE WAS NP USE OF TERRORISM in the American Rev.2)why?maybe there could have been terrorism should the Am.Rev be fought today, in this century inspired by revolutionary Marxist ideas regarding the achieving of power and the use of PEOPLES WARFARE like those of Mao Zedong or Lenin....BUT,in the 18th century there was none of that 3)--18th century warfare was different than today.Mainly fought with opposing armies formed in lines facing each other and maneuvering as to outflank the other...The American variation product of colonial warfare in America was to use the way of fighting of the LIGHT INFANTRY more extensively---meaning that they DID use line formations to battle the British and German Mercenaries..but used too mobile more dispersed formations that would use cover(not standing up like LINE INFANTRY)and use woods or buildings to fight from them(unlike LINE INFANTRY)....that may be likened to guerilla warfare but it wasnt as such....and certainly it was not urban terrorism!!!...The British also used LIGHT TROOPS when the war in the colonies started but gradually they began increasing their use..and after the war they had a great deal of those units.Look the "SHARPE"series by BBC aired by PBS about the Rifle Brigade.4)precisely because the American riflemen(like Morgan's Regiment)were so effective due to their marksmanship(they were like snipers so to speak)that everybody else imitated them5)in all this...how can anybody call the US Army of the Am Rev "terrorist"?The British did not...So the MAcheteros ARE terrorists and the FALN were TOO!Premeditated,indiscriminate violence with the intent of killing,maiming un armed civilians or uniformed military/police personnel..that IS terrorism.....
