Great post!
Good to be back folks. My trip and encounters with folks down south was an experience.
Ecuajey, great post. Not too many do read the National Geographic. I notice the picture of the young lady with a Puerto Rican flag dress. It burns me to see people displaying the flag upside down! Anyway, the clips were great! Boy do I miss the sweet smell of the mountains after it rains. How I miss hearing the waves crash against the beach shore in Rincon. I better Stop! Again, great post! Thanks! |

Welcome back. Also, you're welcome; I was more than happy to have posted it.
Also, that woman wasn't wearing the flag upside down, but side ways, which is the way it's suppose to be, lol. ![]()

LOL. OK, but when you have the flag sideways, its suppose to be hung with the star's point upward. Anyway, to tell you the truth, it is not even suppose to be used like a dress. There is a regulation on the proper use of the Puerto Rican flag, but no one has ever been fined for using it incorrectly. Did you know that if the flag is put on a car, it must be on a flag post? I have seen it just drapped on cars. Fighters with their boxing shorts made with the colors and star of the PR flag is a other no, no, but what can we do. Anyway, I can not find my book on it, but if I do find it, I will post it.

You're right, it is technically upside down, lol. I was thinking you meant that the flag was upside down in the sense that the blue triangle is facing downwards, lol. Anyway, I know the regulations against the PR flag, most of them are the same concerning the American flag, but I think that was made unconstitutional due to the first amendment. Anyway, post it anyway, it would be a productive post.
![]() P.S. In my opinion, I think that PR flag dressed woman will be a classic picture. It's very beautiful, especially in the way she's standing, very sexy and with great pride in showing off our isla's flag.

So what is new?---------------- We are all ambivalent. Our nationalism is sometimes exaggerated because of the Napoleon complex. As long as we have "Barriga Llena; corazon contento" we will not make a final decision on the status.
I am glad the reporter noted how special and beautiful the PR woman is.

I agree Stanley, when I saw the pictures of the women...Ay, yai, yai! My Wife, which is Mexican laughed when she saw what I was looking at!! She always said our women are beautiful. She said we are so lucky to have a rainbow of beautiful people on a small island. She loved it and she even began to speak like us(Even pick up some of our bad words, hehehe).
