Don't be silly folks. Where did you get that figure? 96%%? Says who?
What the people have consistently done is refuse permanent anexation. They may dissagree on other things, but most of them agree on not walking down that isle with Uncle Sam. Sorry. |

Your are right Like I said before. More than 50% don't want statehood and those the believe in PPD don't want statehood. Is the statehood that don't see the light. Someday the PPD, PIP, and other will free PR. And if congrees say no to statehood that the statehood party will fight for a free country. But remmber. PR don't want statehood they love there country to much to sell it.

Hey, have you heard from the news that the statehood party would end last in the coming election? Is about time! About time the our people wake up and free Puerto Rico. Our people finally are waking up the if they become a state the it will be like selling there country away. Selling the spirit away. You become nothing. Puerto Rico will be gone forever. So long live a free Democratic Puerto Rico!

You independistas refuse to see and accept facts. The vast majority of us want to remain part of the USA. Almost half want statehood, the other want the remain as we are. Common Wealth was never intended to be a permenant status for us. It was created as a stepping stone towards statehood or independence. If you remove the Common Wealth option, there would be a landslide for statehood. Independisats have a great way of twisting and distorting facts. And they are the reason why no one really takes indepenence seriously. Nonetheless, at this point it's a little too late for the Independence Party. As long as we have Common Welath as an option we will remain one. Think about it. Do you really think that Congress is going to grant statehood at 52 percent even 60 percent? Of course not! You will need to see an overwhelming number (80 percent of better). And we will see that if the options were Statehood or Independence. Let's be honest here. Common Wealth has become the reaosn why no one takes us seriously and why in many ways we have become the laughing stock of the world. The only two viable options are Statehood or Indepenednce. Even though a vote betweeen the two scares the pants off of the almost nonexistant Independnece Party.

Carols.Marrero you say that we have refused to walk down the isle with the USA. When in fact that's exactly what our people want. P.R. is already a state in every way, except of course officially. These are facts. 98 percent want to remain part of the USA. Almost half of that amount want to remian part of the USA by becoming an official state. The remainder want to remain Americans by remaining what we are now. Either way, the vast majority want to remain part of the USA.

Mike, your totally delusional if you think that statehood would ever come in last. I'd worry more about your own dying party. You guys got a mere, insignificant 2 percent last vote. Down from 4 percent the time before that. We have decided yet again to remain part of the USA and to remain Ameicans. It's high time you guys started respecting the will of the people.
